PRIZMASPACE: the brand new project space of Istanbul’s rising contemporary art scene is opening on September 18th with the duo show “Moving Images I”, including recent works by contemporary artists and founders of PRIZMA, Lara Kamhi and Eli Kasavi.
Programme
As an alternative approach to the commercial gallery structure and with the initial intention to share a studio with their artist and director friends, PRIZMASPACE will this year follow-up on an annual programme which includes film screenings, director exhibitions, a residency programme, and group shows gathering local and international artists.
Opening
PRIZMASPACE, opening on the 18th of September with its co-founders, Lara Kamhi and Eli Kasavi’s first duo show “Moving Images #1”, aims to evolve into an alternative cinematic venue and showcase immersive and site-specific approaches to mostly media-based forms of art. - Experimenting with cinematic languages and creating physical narratives through a collaboratively created fiction and visual choreography, “Moving Images #1” will be an open territory where both artists' image worlds intersect organically.

First Screening
The upcoming programme of PRIZMASPACE features the film screening of “Little Black Fishes”, directed by Azra Deniz Okyay, awarded with Best Cinematography Award at Barcelona Film Festival and Best Short Movie at IF Istanbul Independent Film Festival in 2014.

Residency
South Korean contemporary artist and independent director Sejin Kim will be the first resident of PRIZMASPACEs' annual residency programme. Sejin Kim will be hosted in Istanbul for 1 month during January, 2015 and her solo exhibition will be on display at PRIZMASPACE during February, 2015.
